The Janata Shikshana Samiti a pioneer in education had its humble beginning way back in 1944 with the JSS Banashankari College Started by the Karnataka Education Board (KE Board) with a mere strength of 40 students. His Holiness Swamiji of Pejavar mutt, Udupi, has blessed the samiti by being its President. The JSS grew by strength to strength and various institutions were started to cater to educational requirements of the people under the able direction of Pujya Dr.Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari, Srishketra Dharmasthala as the Chairman of JSS and under the initiative and leadership of Dr. N. Vajrakumar, Secretary of the Samiti. Today, JSS stands tall atop the Mailarlinga hill, 2511ft. above sea level, along the Pune-Bangalore highway running a chain of 18 educational institutions from pre-primary to post graduate level including professional institutions.JSS-DVH-IMSR was established in the in the year 2008 and the first batch of students is in the final semester now, who will be graduating out in July-2010.

CLASS ROOMS

With continuously upgraded hardware, software and communication facilities, JSS-DVHIMSR is taking the face of management in to new era. With a dedicated broad band internet connection available on 24-Hour basis, students have access to information instantly. Library, faculty and administration are networked with internal LAN.

JSS DVH IMSR Library is an information resource centre for teaching, learning and research. Being the heart of the academic centre, it is home for all information services .With aim to provide Anytime, Anywhere Access to information and knowledge, the library contributes and support transforming talent in to business leadership. It plays a proactive role in enabling access to information resources of all kinds providing innovative and effective service to meet the changing needs of the academic community.
Collection of hard copy, audio / video, CD-ROM, and other electronic forms of documents is being followed. The Library has one of the finest collections of latest management publications. The JSS-DVHIMR holds institutional membership with reputed management libraries in India.
